A Weekend in Provence
Welcome to Provence, one of our favorite spots on earth. There is so much to do—and love—about this region, from the spectacular scenery of the Luberon Valley, the excellent local and seasonal cuisine, the fun markets, the charming hilltop villages and of course, the endless and delicious rosé (aka Provencal iced tea).
The Vibe
Laid back, casual, easy, friendly
The Weather
Usually hot, dry and sunny this time of year with lovely, long days. There’s a little chance of rain but it’s minimal this time of year (fingers crossed!)
The Staples
Cool and comfortable. Provence is very, very casual but you’ll want shoes that can handle a cobblestone or two and a hat for daytime excursions. Bonus points if you pick up a cute straw basket to use for your market finds.
The Region
Some of our favorites:
Bonnieux - Home base
L’Isle Sûr la Sorgue - The antique capital of the South of France
Gordes - Fabulous, hill-top village with great restaurants, atmosphere, and views.
Lourmarin - Charming town with great shopping and a fun Friday market.
